Having completed two traffic management assessment projects in Indonesia, RTSM Consulting has gone international!

It was an interesting opportunity to compare the different approaches to risk management on Australian and Indonesian mines. Various societal, environmental and legislative challenges that define the work environment in Indonesia required a ‘back to basics’ approach to establish a framework for safe and efficient traffic management on two busy gold mines.

My hosts at Gosowong and Toka Tindung mines were resourceful and enthusiastic to learn from best industry examples and improve their practices. The recommendations for improvement have been taken on board and, once implemented, exposure to traffic risks should be minimised.

Looking forward to future opportunities in Indonesia.

Update: In 2019, RTSM Consulting was invited to provide training on Traffic Management and Safety on Mines at Merdeka Copper Gold‘s Tujuh Bukit and Wetar mines.
